Arthritis

Arthritis can affect people of all ages, from babies right through to the older generation and from all walks of life. Arthritis related problems are said to be one of the greatest causes of disability and handicap in Australia.  There are over 100 different forms of arthritis and two of the most common  forms are;

  •  osteoarthritis

  •  rheumatoid arthritis.

With the passage of time, cartilage can be damaged and through wear and tear, the cartilage padding of the joint can break down.  The result is, the cartilage loses some of it's ability to act as a shock absorber.  This is called osteoarthritis and is likely to affect the weight bearing joints such as knees, spine, hands and hips. This condition usually occurs later in life and in people who have put extra demands on their joints.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammation of the synovial lining of the joints and can sometimes be associated with inflammation of other body tissues.  The cause is seldom discovered and symptoms can be tiredness and aching muscles. Joints affected can be fingers, feet, knees, wrists and shoulders and in some cases, physical deformities.

Different types of arthritis need different forms of treatment.

  •  Keep mobile through gentle exercise.

  • Treating the affected area with warmth can also offer some relief by relaxing the muscles

Symptoms to watch out for;

  • Joint stiffness after extended periods of lying or sitting

  • Noticeable redness and warmth in a joint.

  • Recurring pain or tenderness in any joint.

  • Swelling in one or more joints.

  • Stiffness early in the morning.

  • Difficulty in moving a joint normally.

  • Fever or weakness with joint pain and unexplained weight loss.

Research has shown that the loss of joint lubrication is greater than the body's normal rate of production.  One of the body's basic starting materials for the production of lubricants is the essential Glucosamine.

 Arthro - Aid is a dietary supplement designed to increase the body's natural supply of Glucosamine.  Glucosamine helps to normalise the production of sufficient quantities of cartilage components and joint fluid.

Arthro - Aid can help to ;

  • alleviate symptoms

  • increase joint flexibility

  • offer temporary relief to associated pain from overworked and abused joints

Arthro - Aid is readily absorbed by the body from the gastrointestinal tract, retained in more than sufficient quantity, and provides relief.
