| "Betadine is suitable for grazes, minor burns, minor scalds and the treatment of minor skin infections. Betadine kills bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores. Betadine has proved to be one of the best antiseptic treatments ever. In laboratory tests, nobody has yet found a germ that can withstand Betadine. Betadine contains povidone iodine. Povidone-iodine has the power of traditional iodine but does not sting or irritate nearly as much as traditional iodine. When Betadine is used on the skin, the brown colour is an indicator that Betadine is working. When it fades to a straw-like colour, re-apply Betadine. Betadine does not stain skin or natural fabrics like wool and cotton. " |
