"Healthy skin has a natural acid protection against bacteria and fungi. When the skin is affected by eczema, dermatitis or other dermatological conditions, the acid protection is reduced and the skin becomes more vulnerable to infection. As ordinary soaps are alkaline, they prevent the affected skin from retaining its natural acid protection.
Pinetarsol has the same pH value as the skin and restores the skin's natural acid protection against bacteria and fungi. At the same time as it gently cleanses the skin, it relieves itching and reduces inflammation. In addition, when creams are applied after soaking in Pinetarsol solution they are absorbed more easily into the skin and are more effective. Use Pinetarsol whenever you have itchy or inflamed skin. it is particularly effective for those people suffering from contact dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, urticaria, psoriasis, heat rash, chicken pox, infant's nappy rash or sunburn." |

| Usage |
|
Ego Pinetarsol Solution can be used for:
The relief of itching and inflamed skin associated with dermatitis, eczema, chicken pox, napkin rash, sunburn, prickly heat, hives, insect bites, anal and genital itching and other skin irritations.
Itching and inflamed skin associated with fungal infections such as athlete?s foot, jock itch, tinea, ringworm, thrush and pityriasis versicolor.
Relieves the symptoms of psoriasis. |

| Dosage |
|
Directions: One capful contains 10ml. Do not use soap on affected areas. For very inflamed skin, use with water. Shake bottle before use. Bath: Add 15-30ml to a warm to tepid bath (5ml baby's bath or hand basin). bathe for 5-10 minutes once daily, more often in sever cases. Pat skin dry. Shower: Apply directly to wet skin, leave for a few minutes then rinse. Pat skin dry. Small areas: Add 10ml to 3 litres of cool or iced water, saturate cotton wool and hold on area for a few minutes. Pat skin dry. Patients in bed: Measles, geriatric, surgical patients. Add 10ml to 3 litres of warm water, sponge. Pat skin dry.3 Dry skin and eczema: Use Pinetarsol Bath Oil. |
