| Gaviscon Relief Tablets bring fast, soothing relief from the burning pain of heartburn and the discomfort of indigestion. Helps protect inflamed oesophageal tissue - helps prevent further inflammation by forming a physical barrier to reflux. The alginate "raft" helps to keep gastric content in place, thereby reducing the likelihood of these irritating the delicate lining of the oesophagus. |

| Dosage |
|
Adults:
2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to 4 times daily. A dose may be increased to a maximum of 4 tablets if required.
Children 6 - 12 years:
1-2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to 4 times daily.
Not recommended for use in children under 6 years.
Tablets should be thoroughly chewed and swallowed when they become sticky. This may be followed by a drink of water, if desired. Chewing may be helped if the tablets are first broken and taken a little at a time. It is recommended that you do not immediately lie down or go to bed after taking the tablets. |

| Ingredients |

Each chewable tablet contains:
Alginic Acid 250mg
Sodium Bicarbonate 85mg
Aluminium Hydroxide - Dried 50mg
Magnesium Trisilicate 12.5mg
Gaviscon Relief Tablets are sugar and gluten free. Each tablet contains saccharin and 23.5mg Sodium (Take into account if on a salt restricted diet). Gaviscon Relief Tablets contain mannitol and xylitol. The maximum total daily intake (16 tablets) for adults equates to 9.5g mannitol and 2.4g xylitol. These ingredients may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea. |
